CJ'S Western Kennel
We are a small kennel located in the western part of The Island of Enchantment, Puerto Rico. Our goal is to Breed Miniature and Standard dachshunds of quality, performance and beauty according to the standards of AKC (American Kennel Club) and FCI (Federation Cynologique Internationale).
Our passion for the breed was born in august 2004 when we got our first dachshund, PR CH. Bobby. Our interest in showing dogs started while taking obedience classes at The Caribbean Dog Sport Club in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Our next step was the wonderful world of dog show in Novembre 2006 at FCPR (Federacion Canofila de Puerto Rico).
In January 2008 we started with Miniature Dachshund, Sunrise Mr.Stripes MSB (Stripes) arrived from Sunrise Kennels. Then in October 2008, it was Sunrise Lollipop Candy MS (Lolli) and finaly our newest addition, Sunrise Impressive MS (Impi). Our thanks to Mr. Valerio Hernández from Sunrise Kennels for those lovey dogs.
In October 2010 we started with Standar Dachshund, CH J.Mex. Maiola's Vittorio SS MEX.FCI. Our thanks to Silvia and Marcelo Maiola's from Maiola's Kennel for these magnificent and lovey dog.
With these foundation we hope to build Our Kennel.
